Welcome to Latin 1, a course designed for 6th through 12th graders who have had little or no previous training in Latin.  This course has three objectives: to make Latin interesting, to minimize the difficulties of beginning Latin, and to improve the student’s grasp of English vocabulary. Latin, more than any other tongue, has influenced the languages of Europe and the Americas.
