There are several items that homeschool parents will need to purchase throughout the year to go along with our homeschooling course materials. When will we receive our materials?
Christian homeschooling families will receive all offline materials, including textbooks, workbooks, CD-ROMs, and other materials within about 10 days of your first tuition payment. If you enroll between August 10 and September 7, please allow for an additional three weeks. We encourage Christian homeschooling families to enroll before this “crunch-time”, our most busy season of the year.
What is the Christian homeschool curriculum like?
The Southern Baptist Academy’s Christian homeschool curriculum utilizes state-of-the-art software to offer a challenging and exciting online home education. This proprietary learning system is tuned to run well on 56k Internet connections as well as cable broadband lines. Using cutting-edge technology, homeschool students will study, work through assignments, take tests and quizzes, and work and chat with homeschooling classmates using our Social Center.
Does The Southern Baptist Academy supply eBooks, CDs, CD-ROMs, workbooks and other items?
Yes. There are some works of literature that students will be reading in 5 th-12 th grade homeschool English courses that can be easily acquired from a local library. If there are any materials that homeschool parents will need to acquire independently of The Southern Baptist Academy, these homeschool materials will be clearly marked in our course descriptions.
What is included when we enroll?
All of your homeschool course materials, access to our online home education coursework, instant access to our professional Academic Counselors, and membership in a network of likeminded Christian homeschooling families are all included in your enrollment.

How is my child placed in a course?
Our homeschool students are free to change courses to make sure their performance level matches up perfectly with the courses they have chosen in our online home education program. We offer homeschoolers a 30-day trial period during which they can add or change courses for $25.00 per course. There is never a fee to drop a homeschool course.
What is the policy for a high school student graduating from the academy?
Homeschool high school students who graduate from our online home education program are able to receive an official high school diploma from The Southern Baptist Academy. Just visit our Graduation Requirements page to find out more about how your Christian homeschooler can earn a diploma.
Do you have minimum standards for courses and instructional time?
The Southern Baptist Academy online home education programoffers about 180 days of instruction, 300 days of academy access, September through June. Student attendance is logged as well as their hours of instruction. The Southern Baptist Academyoffers about 140 different Christian homeschool courses and provides instruction in all courses every school day. The 2006-2008 homeschool year begins September 5, 2007 and ends June 30, 2008.
